  3. School Data update/Budget Review
  • The 28, 000 for Chromebooks was no longer needed. We will use the money towards technology needs for the staff to use.
  • Teachers indicate they don’t need more I-pads.
  1. Friday Learning
  • The district is still determining if there will be an online component for next year. The decision hasn’t been made yet because they are still looking for feedback.
  • They are looking at getting rid of “work days” on Fridays and having students return to coming to school on Fridays. No decisions have been made just yet.
  • Our Friday school is working very well. We typically have 50-60 students attend and our paraeducators are working with students to help them get assignments complete.

5.TSSP and Land Trust Goals

  • We kept our overarching goals of increasing proficiency levels in math and reading by using the Math and Reading Inventory, we want to earn an AVID site recognition, and increasing academic and specific feedback in the classroom.
  • We want to focus heavily on math next year. We saw a huge increase in reading, however we have seen a decrease in math. We would like to get to 60% proficiency across the entire population of students. We want to see our Special Ed and our ELL students increase 75 points with each test throughout the year.
  • Teachers are interested in implementing math into all subject areas to support with the goal.
  • We want to implement a math intervention class using Math180 in addition to their regular math class. This will include our Special Ed students as well.
  • We want to create an after school program that includes with engaging activities (i.e. Legos League, arts and crafts, &along with core subject interventions.
  • We want to maintain our paraeducators to support in the classroom and with the After School Program.
  • For the Reading Inventory we want to see 80% of our students to meet proficiency. We want students who are Special Ed, ELL and students who in the Below Basic level to increase by 75 points per test.
  • We want to maintain one paraeducator to support in our reading classes.
  • For our school climate goal we would like to increase our academic and specific feedback. We also want to include student survey results. Questions would include:
    • Do you have a trusted adult in the school?
    • Do you feel safe at school?
    • We also have included open-ended questions as well.
  • We will still continue 2nd Steps in TA
  1. Counseling Update
  • We have our Serenity Space open now so students have a place to relax.
