Background: Dr. Dekeyzer was born in Salt Lake City and lived in Midvale, Utah until age 5. Her family moved to Goleta (near Santa Barbara) and then Woodland Hills, the northern most part of Los Angeles County.
Education: Dr. Dekeyzer received her undergraduate degree in psychology from UCLA, and her master’s degree and doctorate degree in school psychology from the University of Utah.
Experience: Prior to receiving advanced degrees, Dr. Dekeyzer worked for organizations such as The Children’s Center and worked as a substitute teacher. She has been working as a school psychologist in the Jordan School District and Canyons School District for 11 years. In addition to serving the students of EMS, she also conducts autism spectrum evaluations for the district. Dr. Dekeyzer enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families in an effort to help them achieve their potential. Her work is very rewarding.
Hobbies and Special Interests: In her spare time Dr. Dekeyzer enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading great books, and traveling.
