Background: Mr. Jensen was born and raised in Brigham City, UT. Upon graduating from Box Elder High School there, he lived in Sacramento, California for a period of time. When he came back, he got engaged to his high school sweetheart. They married, and Mr. Jensen started attending Brigham Young University - Idaho. He worked hard and graduated with honors (magna cum laude), was awarded the Larry Thompson Award: Outstanding English Major, and won an award for a paper which he presented at a Pre-Professional Conference. Through all this, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen decided to start their family and currently have two rambunctious little boys that they love so much.
Education: Mr. Jensen attended and graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English Education. Mr. Jensen also minored in earth science education (geology and astronomy).
Experience: Before teaching at Eastmont Middle School, Mr. Jensen completed his student teaching in English and Earth Science at Brockbank Jr. High School in Magna, UT.
Hobbies and Special Interests: Mr. Jensen's hobbies and interests are varied. As a reading teacher, he obviously loves reading. Although he doesn't seem to have too much time to do it anymore, Mr. Jensen loves sitting down and reading a great book. He especially loves reading the classics, thought provoking poetry, science literature, and well written young adult literature. Outside of literature, Mr. Jensen have always loved science and the great outdoors. He particularly loves all things geology and spend much of his free time studying geology and collecting rocks and fossils. Other hobbies include going to live musicals and plays, concerts, and rock & roll.
